What we collect

Visaly.ai collects only the minimum information needed to provide the service:

  • Email addressescollected when you join the waitlist or request email delivery of your application package. Stored securely in Upstash Redis.
  • Application type selectionsthe immigration category you choose (e.g., study permit, Express Entry) is stored in your browser's localStorage to save your progress. It never leaves your device.

Uploaded documents

Documents you upload (passport scans, financial statements, etc.) are processed entirely in your browser's memory. They are never transmitted to or stored on our servers. When you close or refresh the page, the files are gone. We designed it this way deliberately — your sensitive identity documents should never leave your device.

localStorage data

To save your progress between sessions, your questionnaire answers and checklist state are stored in your browser's localStorage. This data lives only on your device and is not accessible to us. You can clear it at any time using the "Clear my progress" link on any questionnaire page, or by clearing your browser data.

How we use your email

If you provide your email address, we use it only to:

  • Send your application package (if you requested email delivery)
  • Notify you when new features are ready (waitlist)

We do not sell, share, or rent your email address to any third party. Ever.

Third-party services

We use Upstash Redis to store waitlist email addresses. Upstash is a serverless database provider with data stored in Canada and the United States. Their privacy policy is available at upstash.com/trust/privacy.pdf.

Data deletion requests

To request deletion of your email address from our waitlist, send an email to privacy@visaly.ai with the subject line "Delete my data". We will remove your information within 7 business days and confirm by reply.

Governing law

This privacy policy is governed by the Personal Information Protection and Electronic Documents Act (PIPEDA), the federal privacy law of Canada. If you have a privacy concern that we have not addressed, you have the right to contact the Office of the Privacy Commissioner of Canada.

Changes to this policy

If we make material changes, we will update the "Last updated" date at the top of this page. Continued use of the service after changes constitutes acceptance.
